Hi friends-
How has January been so far? Is the year starting off strong or easing into it?
The beginning of every year is always a little wild over here so we are celebrating this month by embracing that energy with some spaghetti chaos, some shots for a favorite beverage you all should try and a few images from my desert excursion.
As an artist working in the commercial field I often wrestle with where the line is on sharing personal work but it has felt really good taking time to experiment, and I encourage everyone to. This project saw me head out to the desert alone, armed with two beat up Canon AE-1 bodies and one trusty Nikon DSLR to find what I find and process my time before becoming a mom. I played with distressing film, old hand processing techniques and have been savoring the intentional imperfections of it all. It’s so wildly different than my usual work, I wanted to share a little taste of it.
