South American Independence Days + Dole

Oh hey there friend,

How has your summer (aka Leo Season) been?

Mine has been pretty sweet over here, and yes that is a food pun (sorry-not-sorry) since I have been working non-stop on my first cookbook project which is all desserts! I’ve been a busy bee photographing a ton of new work including, well…bees (check out the full photo series here- story coming soon!), some cool food non-profits , and of course another birthday!

This is a bee in case you have never seen a bee. Which would be weird right? I mean who hasn’t seen a bee….right? OK BYE.

And while all that sounds super exciting most stuff I can’t share yet. What else is new right?

The most exciting thing I CAN share from this summer so far is my shoot for Dole Sunshine Latino - the Spanish language leg of Dole.

We shot a few rad shots using their tasty pineapple to help celebrate and honor various independence days around South America. Here are a couple of my favorites…

Shrimp Causas from Peru

Llapingachos from Ecuador

Obleas con Pina from Colombia

All of these beauties were shot in one day, with an excellent team and hopefully do justice to the awesome countries that inspired them! You can learn more about them and how to create them yourself on their website!

Until next time,

Happy snacking…

xoxo,
