March Highlights

March highlights, oooof am I right? Can we have a do over?

The majority of this month I spent quarantined under California’s stay at home mandate working through all the stages of grief:

Denial: it’s not going to be THAT bad right?

Anger: I am so mad I am not working, why are there still so many people not taking this seriously and why can’t I find any flour anywhere?

Bargaining: If folks just mail me things I can still keep working maybe?

Depression: Is this ever going to end? Are my restaurant friends going to be ok?

And finally acceptance: ok I have no control over this I guess I will make a really ugly basket and update my website…

Here is the basket. I know. Not a looker but it kept my hands occupied.

Why yes it is sitting atop a puzzle we haven’t finished, thanks for noticing.

As my freelance friends and I have noticed, the only way through this is to take it one day at a time- and focus on the stuff that makes you happy. The thing that keeps me happiest is being creative so I tried to stay focused on test shoots and some trades as well as baking some ridiculous snacks and watching a bunch of weird wrestling with my dude. What worked for you?

Here are some shots from March.

Hopefully next month will have more exciting news but until then I hope everyone is staying safe, staying home and taking care of each other!

Happy snacking,

xoxo,
