Hi friends-

How has January been so far? Is the year starting off strong or easing into it?

The beginning of every year is always a little wild over here so we are celebrating this month by embracing that energy with some spaghetti chaos, some shots for a favorite beverage you all should try and a few images from my desert excursion.

As an artist working in the commercial field I often wrestle with where the line is on sharing personal work but it has felt really good taking time to experiment, and I encourage everyone to. This project saw me head out to the desert alone, armed with two beat up Canon AE-1 bodies and one trusty Nikon DSLR to find what I find and process my time before becoming a mom. I played with distressing film, old hand processing techniques and have been savoring the intentional imperfections of it all. It’s so wildly different than my usual work, I wanted to share a little taste of it.

Hi friends-

As we wind down into holidays, I wanted to thank you for making 2022 such a great year!

This year I was fortunate enough to shoot for some incredible projects like El Tesoro, DoorDash’s Dash Mart, Low ABV vodka Plume and Petal, LA Times, educational brand Quizziz, cannabis, an NBA championship ring, new high end whiskey, loads of food and so much more! I also got to collaborate with some new fantastic folks- stylists, editors, and food writers and never stopped testing throughout the year. Some of my favorite projects this year (and really always!) were experiments in my studio! I hope 2023 finds us exploring a lot more, pushing our creative limits and making more huge messes in the studio- I mean why else would you have one right!?!

2023 will also see some special changes!

I’m adding a tiny studio mate to the family in March! 👶🏽

If there are any projects I can help with in January and February make sure to schedule a call soon so we can get you booked up before I take a short baby break! As always throughout 2023 I’ll be taking on remote clients from anywhere in the world and local on location projects to the LA, SF and SoCal areas with travel opening back up in summer! Spooky Season 🎃

Happy Halloween my favorite boils and ghouls-

I hope everyone is neck deep in horror movie marathons, pumpkin carving and whatever fall snacks get you in the spooky vibe! This month amidst some secret client work I can’t share yet and a lot of meetings I managed to sneak in an ode to Halloween shoot to practice my styling, cookie decorating, dry ice wrangling and hopefully charm a horror lover or two!

Monster hands (on loan from hand model Andy Greene) were monster-ified in the studio by the two of us (which left fake blood, fur and press on nails all over the place!) and though I think we did a good job I have to say the werewolf transformation in American Werewolf In Paris is still my favorite…

Hi friends,

Extra, Extra it’s fall!

Well probably somewhere? Here in LA it has been non-stop heatwaves, rolling blackouts and I’ve been pledging my full allegiance to the studio AC…

This month I’m showing off my latest work with forever favorite, the Los Angeles Times. This time they tasked me with photographing some apparel and food products being created by local snack makers to explore the intersection of fashion and food. Here is the link to the full article! We wrangled hoodies, hats, packaged goods, and made some fun stop motion over the course of the day, all shot on location at my studio which is always available for fun absurdity like this. This summer also saw more photo friendshipping, which I am always a huge fan of, including a great meeting up with all of these lovely The Luupe photographers and finally met Tracey Woods, photo producer, consultant extraordinaire! Check out our cute group photo!

As fall wraps up and we get those Q3 tax payments out, remember to drop me a line if you need any holiday imagery! I always try to accommodate last minute shoots if possible but planning ahead always gets you a gold star!
